Confined Space Entry Monitor
OBJECTIVES
This course is geared towards our members who tend to work in the industrial sector or those that do Confined Space Entry Monitoring as a part of their job description.
The Confined Space Entry Monitor is the first person to test the atmosphere inside the space with a probe or monitor.
PREREQUISITES
Ability to speak and understand English and communicate over a 2-way radio.

Confined Space Awareness
OBJECTIVES
This course is geared towards our members who tend to work in the civil/roadbuilding sector.
In this course the worker ENTERS the space after the monitor has tested the atmosphere in the space.
PREREQUISITES
Ability to speak and understand English and communicate over a 2-way radio.
TOPICS COVERED
- Learn the legal definition of Confined Spaces
- Factors that lead to injuries/death when entering confined spaces
- Basics of atmosphere testing
- Ventilation and rescue techniques
- Awareness of the potential hazards to look for and note if they are low, moderate or high

4 hours (1/2 day).
