Local 1611 has over 10,000+ members in various sectors. Our members are a diverse group of skilled individuals working on British Columbia’s most influential projects, some of which have included; the Kitimat Modernization Project, all B.C. Hydro Electric Dams, Sea-to-Sky Highway Phase 1 & 2, Vancouver Island Highway, Ford Theatre for the Performing Arts, G.M. Place Arena, Kemano Project Phases I and II, Southern Crossing Pipeline Project, CP Rail Tunnel Project Rogers Pass, Golden Ears Bridge, RAV Line Tunnel and the Twin Tunnel Seymour Reservoir Project, Coastal GasLink, the LNG Canada facility in Kitimat, the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion Project, the Pattullo Bridge Replacement, the Highway 1 expansion between Kamloops and the Alberta border, and the flood recovery work following the devastation of 2021.
